The Japan Fundraising Association (JFRA) was established on February 18, 2009, with the support of 580 founding members from all prefectures of Japan. JFRA’s founding vision is to innovate the philanthropic culture in Japan to pursue social innovation driven by the civil society. This will include not only the fundraisers of non-profit organizations but also the social contribution departments of corporations, charitable foundations, experts from different areas and others. As a result of JFRA’s wide variety of programming, it is envisioned that charitable giving will be highly valued, fundraisers will do their work with confidence and pride, and donors will receive happiness and satisfaction from donating. The JFRA will innovate fundraising to generate cycles of happiness.
